Sinclair is currently seeking part-time (adjunct) faculty for day, evening, and weekend courses at
our partner correctional institution Southeastern Correctional Institution in Lancaster.
A focus with hire within the areas of Agriculture: Greenhouse Management and Horticulture
The starting pay for Adjunct Faculty is $957 per credit hour assigned to teach.

Principal Accountabilities
- Plan and organize instruction in ways which maximize student learning
- Prepare, distribute and submit syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department and divisional policies
- Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, use available instructional technology when appropriate
- Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse students’ needs
- Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success
- Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning
- Maintain accurate records of student progress
- Submit final grade rosters according to established deadlines
- Maintain confidentiality of student information
- Cannot exceed maximum of 12 credit hours per semester
Requirements
- Minimum of a master’s degree in Horticulture, Greenhouse management or equivalent required
- Evidence of successful prior teaching experience is preferred
- Professionalism and outstanding written and oral communication skills required
- Ability to effectively use technology required
- Preference will be given to candidates with teaching or training experience in horticulture or greenhouse management with evidence of quality performance
- Demonstration of willingness to pursue professional development activities required
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population required
- Ability to teach in a face-to-face environment required
