About SUNY Broome Community College:

SUNY Broome Community College is a comprehensive community college located in the scenic Southern Tier of New York.  The College has over 7,700 students annually, and services over 6,100 students per semester in Liberal Arts, Business & Professional Studies, Health Sciences, and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs.  An additional 1,600 students are served through the College's workforce and non-credit programs.

 


Job Description:

SUNY Broome Community College is seeking candidates for part-time adjunct instructors teaching in the Communications & Media Arts department.

Part-time adjunct instructors in Communications & Media Arts will be required to teach the course they are hired for as well as be able to attend an office hour for their course(s). Courses will be either production or theory based, dependent upon need.

 


Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field is required.  A Master's degree is preferred.

Must have two (2) or more years of communication field experience.

Teaching experience is required; preferably at the community college level.

Applicants should be comfortable in the learner-centered classroom and have a strong commitment to the community college mission.

 


Additional Information:

Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
