Job Description

The School of Business at Mercy University invites applicants for adjunct faculty positions to teach undergraduate Business/Data Analytics classes to begin September 2024. We seek candidates who demonstrate a commitment to student-centered teaching and can support students from diverse backgrounds.

As our Business/Data Analytics programs are growing, we welcome new team members to teach and help shape curriculum at the undergraduate and graduate levels. We currently feature Excel, Tableau, R/R Studio, SQL, Qlik, Python, PowerBI, and Alteryx in our pedagogy. Sample open classes for Fall 2024 are Introduction to Data Analytics and Applied Statistics with SPSS and R (in the undergraduate Business Administration program).

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience successfully teaching business/data analytics courses at the university-level.
  • A minimum of five years related practical experience preferred.
  • Ability to teach at the undergraduate and/or graduate level required.
  • Commitment to teaching with inclusive excellence.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's and Master’s degrees from an accredited institution required. At least one of these degrees must be in an appropriate academic discipline related to business.
Physical/Other Requirements:
  • Must be able to push, pull, move or lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to meet all general health requirements for the position as per university policies.
Compensation offered will be commensurate with the educational background and work experience of the individual.

Mercy University promotes a community campus environment. As a result, employment is limited to the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. Applicants outside of those states or the USA will be required to relocate. Relocation assistance may be provided for eligible moves.
