Job Function

Macomb Community College adjunct professors provide instruction to students of established materials using in person, virtual and or hybrid methods as assigned by the course. Adjuncts communicate with students and provide assessment of student’s learning and grade.

As an Adjunct Faculty member of the Culinary Institute program at a premier community college, you’ll be combining your professional experience with established program materials to create valuable learning opportunities for students interested in the culinary field.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Teach predefined subject matter as assigned by the department.
  • Participate and actively cooperate with the department and learning unit to meet accreditation standards.
  • Work in collaboration with faculty in areas of teaching and curriculum development/revision as required.
  • Assist in facilitating student clinical and or lab experiences as required.
  • Assist in course assessments that will accurately measure achievement of student learning outcomes as assigned.
  • Actively participate on college committees and perform related duties and activities necessary to conduct the work of the area as assigned.

 

Education

Graduate of recognized culinary school with an associate degree or higher. Must have at least 5 years of related work experience in the culinary field. ACF Certification preferred.
