The Digital Marketing Specialist plays an important part in this mission with editorial and administrative oversight of the Alumni Association’s digital presence, and is responsible for creating, leading, and measuring the effectiveness of the Alumni Association’s digital properties and campaigns. These properties include its social media channels; its primary website, my.nd.edu, and other sites; and other digital-engagement focused initiatives as assigned.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the Association’s Social Media Platforms and Digital Initiatives:
    • Manage the creation and publication of content in the Association’s social accounts, through regular postings aimed at growing engagement with alumni, parents, and friends.
    • Create new digital campaigns to expand the Association’s reach.
    • Assist internal partners with the Spirituality, Service, Alumni Education, Career and Profession, and Clubs and Groups teams on their social strategy.
  • Manage Content on the Association’s Website, Subsites, and Mobile App:
    • Curate and update content for the my.nd.edu homepage, ensuring exposure and promotion for all Association services, storytelling initiatives, and strategically important news to the University and the Association.
    • Work with Association and campus partners to implement updates as they are available.
  • Manage the Association’s Digital initiatives Around Mother’s Day and Advent, and others as assigned:
    • Lead annual Association initiatives for Mother’s Day and Advent, including planning, scheduling, producing, marketing, and measuring key performance indicators.
    • Assist with other Association events and initiatives as assigned.
  • Manage the Association’s Digital Analytics:
    • Track and analyze social media performance and create monthly reports for review by the Association leadership team.
    • Provide recommendations to expand and improve engagement and reach across digital channels..
  • Capture Photos and Videos
    • Assist in Association event photography and videography efforts to capture and curate content.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or at least 1 year of experience in social media communications and web content management
  • Experience with content management software
  • Experience leading multi channel initiatives
  • Creative thinker with the ability to analyze, condense, and package information
  • Superb organizational and project management skills with proven ability to initiate and follow through on projects
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with multiple partners and independently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in photography, videography, and video editing
  • Knowledge and experience working with analytics tools, SEO, and/or paid advertising
  • Basic knowledge of social media video creation tools
