Job Description

Job Title

NDCIL Program Coordinator

Job Description

Are you passionate about empowering youth and making a lasting impact in the community?

Join the Robinson Community Learning Center (RCLC) as the Notre Dame Civic Innovation Lab (NDCIL) Program Coordinator and lead transformative educational programs for South Bend’s youth!

Since 2012, the Robinson Community Learning Center has been a cornerstone of Notre Dame’s undergraduate volunteer and community engagement efforts, offering dynamic youth educational programming at the Notre Dame Civic Innovation Lab, located in South Bend’s vibrant Near Westside neighborhood.

As the RCLC-NDCIL Program Coordinator, you will have the exciting opportunity to shape the future of youth education by creating a bold vision for the NDCIL Youth Educational Programs. This role allows you to unleash your creativity, leadership, and passion for community service by developing and implementing initiatives that inspire local youth through tutoring, arts enrichment, and hands-on learning experiences.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead the Charge on Youth Programs: Be the visionary behind the NDCIL’S afterschool tutoring, arts enrichment programs, and weekly clubs. From overseeing daily operations to designing the six-week summer program, you’ll ensure that each program offers valuable learning experiences that ignite students’ curiosity and creativity.
  • Collaborate with Key Stakeholders: Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, Notre Dame student clubs, university stakeholders, K-12 schools, and parents. You’ll work together to provide youth with enriching educational opportunities and ensure alignment with state standards.
  • Evaluate Program Success: Monitor and assess program effectiveness by evaluating performance against established goals. Your leadership will be key to driving continuous improvement and keeping the programs fresh, engaging, and impactful.
  • Recruit and Lead a Dynamic Team: You’ll have the opportunity to recruit, train, and supervise a team of AmeriCorps members, student staff, and over 60 college student volunteer tutors who are passionate about making a difference in children’s lives.
  • Create a Lasting Impact: Through your leadership, you will synchronize tutoring programs with school performance standards, fostering academic success and confidence in every student who participates in the RCLC-NDCIL youth programs.
Why This Role is Exciting:
  • Make a Difference: Be part of a mission-driven organization where your work directly impacts the educational and personal growth of local youth. You’ll be instrumental in helping students thrive academically, socially, and creatively.
  • Collaborate with the Best: Join forces with Notre Dame’s talented and driven student body, community partners, and university staff to create unforgettable learning experiences for South Bend’s youth.
  • Lead with Purpose: As the RCLC-NDCIL Program Coordinator, you will have the autonomy to bring your vision to life, all while being supported by a passionate team and the resources of a world-class institution.
If you’re a motivated leader who thrives on building community, developing innovative educational programs, and inspiring the next generation, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Come help us create a brighter future for the youth of South Bend!
