As part of our continued commitment to innovation and security, we are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Director for Information Technology Security to help protect our digital infrastructure and ensure the safety of our college’s data and systems. This role is key to ensuring the College remains proactive in preventing cybersecurity incidents and compliant with industry standards. The Assistant Director will collaborate with internal teams, the SUNY system, and external vendors to continually strengthen our security posture. This position will report to the Chief Information Officer (CIO).
This Assistant Director will serve as a lead network/security/IoT architect at the College responsible for protecting against cyber threats and for security of Infrastructure and Administrative services provided by Office of Information Technology. This Assistant Director will work with department management and other stakeholders to gather requirements, design, implement, and maintain the security and network related infrastructure of the organization according to industry best practices and security standards. Serves as a senior-level administrator for centralized systems and networks using advanced technologies to deploy and monitor IT services and respond to security incidents. This position is responsible for maintaining contact with the College community, SUNY-wide programs that provide services to the College as well as vendors for products and services relating to information technology at the College. This position will also collaborate with the CIO in long-term planning, analysis, and design of systems and services to meet the needs addressed by the senior management of the College.
