We’re proud to say that 98 percent of our graduates step into a job in their field of study immediately upon graduation. One of the largest community colleges in the nation, HCC has served the Greater Houston area for over four decades. The Team

Play a central role at HCC as you keep our everyday operations running like clockwork. You’ll get the chance to make things happen and work closely with inspiring leaders across different parts of the institution. Whether your role is supportive, administrative, financial or something else, you’ll be part of a dynamic team that not only provides HCC students with cutting-edge academic and career tools, it also takes care of its people.

We are currently seeking a Financial Coach who will advance the institution’s proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service.

The Opportunity
You: You’re an outgoing person and a financial aid expert whose passion is helping students overcome obstacles on the road to their academic and career success.

Your mission: We’ll rely on you to educate students and parents about the importance of managing financial resources and planning for the future, and to coach them on possible options and alternatives for financing their educational goals.

A typical day: A portion of your day may be spent hosting a community event that you’d organized to increase the number of students applying for financial aid. When you’re finished there, you may head back to the office to follow up by phone with agencies that could assist our students through workshops and resources on debt management, tax preparation, financial literacy, etc. Finally, you might wrap up the day in a group session in a computer lab where you’ll assist students with the submission of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and help them navigate the HCC financial aid process.

Next steps: If you always have the student experience in the forefront of your planning and execution, if you’re a collaborator, an innovator and a person who gets things done, apply today!
