Head of EUV Factory Planning & Logistics

Job Description

Job Mission

The mission of the Head of EUV Factory Planning & Logistics is to plan and secure on-time and first-time-right Material Availability for the San Diego Factory, worldwide spares locations and to support the output of the EUV factory in Veldhoven in both the short and long term.

This person streamlines the Supply Chain processes and manages the long-term Supply Chain & Logistics capability focusing on material planning, master planning, spares planning and warehousing with overall responsibility for inventory control processes and inefficient inventory management.

This is a senior leadership role in the San Diego Factory and reports to the Head of Operations. The key interfaces are with Suppliers, Manufacturing Operations, Service Planning, 3PL Management for the Warehouse and Supply Chain Management teams.

As a senior leader of the ASML San Diego Factory, this position plays an important role in the overall ASML supply chain and logistics ecosystem across the global manufacturing operation.

As part of the San Diego Factory senior leadership team, this person is responsible for the following areas:

  • Material Planning - Ensure timely material supply towards the San Diego Factory for industrialized parts including the refurbishment, repair or upgrade of purchase parts.

  • Customer Service Logistics - Planning for all spares shipped to sites for San Diego products, including managing the transport packaging pool, reverse logistics for upgrades and repairs and materials planned and shipped between San Diego and Veldhoven factories to support engineering test rigs.

  • Master Planning - Responsible for long term factory and supply chain planning including ratio between new and refurbishment builds.

  • Warehouse Management - Responsible for inbound and outbound logistics, storage and 3rd Party logistics management.

  • Inventory Control - Oversee and drive inventory control process improvements to reduce and or mitigate inefficient inventory.

You are also expected to be part of the leadership team of the factory by developing and leading strategic programs and projects, developing and managing budgets, and contributing to the growth of the factory and site. You are also expected to provide for and develop your people's career in the company.

Education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering or Logistics or equivalent years of experience. Master's degree is preferred.

  • 5-10 years of leadership experience in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Sourcing or related function in a complex High-Tech production environment.

  • Experience with working in an international setting.

  • Advanced knowledge of planning and supply chain processes including Kanban systems.

  • Understanding of ERP system functionality, SAP is preferred.

  • Experience managing a 3PL.

  • Experience with reclaim and/or refurbishment is a plus.

  • Structured problem solver with the ability to define and drive structural solutions.

  • Result oriented, able to act under high pressure and think outside of the box.

  • Good communication skills on all levels with multiple stakeholders (Suppliers - Development - Manufacturing - Headquarters etc.).

  • Focus on continuous improvement and use of LEAN concepts in the execution of work functions.

  • Excellent people leadership skills and ability to engage, develop and motivate people.

Other information

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.   • The environment generally is moderate in temperature and noise level.

  • Extended periods of time in a clean room environment should be expected. Requires gowning in Class 10K gowning protocol.

  • May need to work in labs with equipment that emit high-pitched noise.

  • May spend extended periods of time at a computer workstation.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently $159,375-$265,625. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
