Description

We seek a full-time position to provide coordination and support for day-to-day processes and operations associated with administration of the College’s academic curriculum.

General responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as Secretary for Curriculum and Academic Standards (CAS) committee, providing high-level support to the Chair with committee operations
  • Coordinate processes related to course compliance assurance and maintenance of the academic course catalog and master syllabus files
  • Manage the maintenance of academic curriculum files and assist with annual production of the College’s Academic Catalog
  • Assist Director with entry and maintenance of academic class schedule
  • Handle and protect sensitive personal data according to externally mandated rules and regulations, and institutional policies
  • Participate in cross training and provide backup coverage for other positions as directed

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or appropriate experience/education
  • Experience in an academic setting
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively and inclusively within a diverse campus community
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; attention to detail; and ability to problem-solve, work independently, and function professionally under pressure
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Understanding of and support for the community college mission
  • Experience working in the educational environment with curricular processes
  • Experience with PeopleSoft systems
