Class Description
Working under the guidance of the Assistant Director, CDL Training, Instructional Specialist II or Senior Instructor, independently provide instruction in entry-level or career improvements topics.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma/GED, and three years’ experience driving vehicles requiring a CDL-A license; Associate’s degree preferred. A current, valid Maryland Commercial Driver’s License - Class A (CDL-A), with Air Brake certification, plus X (Hazmat/Tanker), and T (Doubles/Triples) endorsements, are required; S (School Bus), P (Passenger), or All endorsements are preferred. Must be able to pass a USDOT Physical examination as required to maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License. Knowledge of and experience with CDL industry driver logbook software preferred.
