Job Title: Camera and Video Editor
Duration: 2 years
Location: San Diego, CA

It is an on-call/as-needed position.

Summary:
Client is looking for a creative and talented camera operator to join their contingent workforce team. In this role, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality video and effective video footage for Client's production needs. You will work closely with other designers, editors, producers, and clients to deliver engaging content that aligns with the company's vision and goals for our productions.


Job Duties:
* Work with other designers, editors, producers, and clients to comprehend the project goals and expectations
* Work with director to plan all aspects of shots
* Give realistic, creative input and guidance to scene preparation
* Excellent theoretical knowledge of filming and capturing footage with RED cameras
* Know and apply the technical features of lenses, film, filters, light and camera settings to each shot
* Handle cameras, lighting, and audio equipment for field and studio productions
* Make sure that the multimedia content follows the quality standards and guidelines of the company and the clients
* Support the client with multimedia production, including setting up, maintaining, and fixing the video equipment
* Work with make-up artists, lighting, and sound staff to create the best final effect
* Solve technical or practical problems
* Stay informed on modern technology and current industry trends to ensure you use the most updated methods to do the job
* Edit footage as needed

Qualifications:
* At least 3 years of experience in camera operation or a related role
* Skilful in using various software and tools for production, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, REDCINE-X Pro, etc.
* Excellent theoretical knowledge of RED camera operation, lighting, and audio-capturing techniques
* Creative and artistic skills, with a good sense of aesthetics and details
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team and with clients
* Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
* Strong technical skills for troubleshooting equipment issues
* A strong attention to detail
* Flexible schedule to work nights and weekends if required
* Must be able to lift 50lbs

Education Requirement
* An associate degree in film, media, or equivalent field experience
* Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in film is preferred
