Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Introduction

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in solid modeling, detailed drawings, material fabrication, and mechanical design to join our DUV MDEV team. This position will be focused on developing and sustaining mechanical detail parts and assemblies and completing drawing updates for change orders for our DUV lasers.

Role and Responsibilites:

  • Mechanical design of machined, sheet metal, and plastic parts
  • Create solid models and detail drawings in Creo
  • Conduct problem solving on mechanical fit and performance issues
  • Collaborate with vendors on the fabrication of mechanical parts
  • Design production fixtures for assembly and alignment
  • Process engineering change orders and updating drawing documentation in Agile
  • Collaborate with other engineering groups such as Optics, Chambers, Systems, Manufacturing, and Controls on sub-system design
  • Other responsibilities may be added as business conditions arise

Education and Experience:

  • Requires a B.S in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of mechanical design/drafting experience
  • Experience designing mechanical parts (machined, sheet metal, molded)
  • Proficient with CAD software (solid modeling and detailed drawings). Creo is preferred.
  • Finite Element Modeling experience (structural, thermal, vibration)
  • Experience with documentation control systems and configuration management, Agile and Windchill preferred
  • Knowledge of GD&T and mechanical tolerance analysis
  • Experience working with machine shops and other part fabricators

  • Work may include onsite technical support involving heavy lifting of equipment & modules.
  • Position will require technical work activity in a clean-room production environment and/or laboratory setting.
  • The environment generally is moderate in temperature and noise level.
  • Occasionally may be exposed to loud noise bursts and may be exposed to toxic gases (fluorine).
  • Must be able to work in small, confined spaces.

This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.). Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently $79,500-$132,500. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
