Coordinator of College Housing
 
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-Time, 52 weeks
 
CLASSIFICATION: Career Plan
 
ANNUAL SALARY: $46,000-$48,000 based on skills, qualifications, and experience
 
FLSA STATUS: Salary/Non-exempt
 
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week; Primarily Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Hours may be flexed to include weekends as determined by the College.

GENEROUS BENEFIT PACKAGE AVAILABLE (per current contractual agreement)
  • Up to thirty-eight (38) paid time off days annually (prorated based on hire date).
  • Up to fourteen (14) paid holidays/days closed throughout the year (includes time off from December 24 through New Year’s Day) depending on the hire date.

JOB SUMMARYThe Coordinator of College Housing is responsible for the operations of college dorms and for the coordination of resident assistants.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate operations of college housing to maintain a safe, secure, and healthy living environment while ensuring compliance with college, housing, and safety policies and procedures.
  • Serve as the point of contact on all matters related to college housing; represent SC4 college housing to potential residents, parents, and/or group inquiries; conduct tours of housing facilities as needed.
  • Administer the housing application, approval/denial, and room placement processes.
  • Facilitate resolution of student concerns and work with administrative staff to investigate incidents and communicate sanctions for housing violations or campus policies.
  • Responsible for the coordination, training and development of resident assistants
  • Coordinate and lead the housing orientation process for housing staff and residents.
  • Coordinate opening and closing of housing facilities at the beginning and end of each academic year.
  • Demonstrate behavior in support of a multicultural environment, modeling a positive and professional demeanor while acting as an ambassador for the college.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters related to resident students and staff including compliance with FERPA and HIPPA.
  • Work with campus departments/personnel to ensure maximum occupancy of housing.
  • Notify physical plant and/or campus patrol regarding repairs and/or safety concerns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Supervision received from the Executive Director of Safety and Compliance.
 
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Minimum of an associate degree in management, general business, education, social work, psychology or related field. Bachelor degree preferred. College/university housing experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service.

  • Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience facilitating processes.
