The Director will lead the work to standardize project management practices, provide strategic oversight and direct support for critical initiatives, and build organizational capacity to manage complex projects effectively. By overseeing efficient service delivery, promoting collaboration, and fostering continuous improvement, the Director helps LCSNW serve vulnerable populations with compassion, integrity, and respect, maximizing the social impact of our programs

- Establish project management methodologies, processes, and tools that balance structure and flexibility.
- Implement a streamlined project intake process to evaluate and prioritize initiatives based on complexity, resource requirements, and impact.
- Lead and manage a portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, clear timelines, deliverables, and performance metrics
- Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders (internal teams, funders, vendors, community organizations) to define project goals, objectives, and ensure seamless execution
- Develop and manage project budgets, allocating resources efficiently while ensuring financial compliance and maintaining service delivery standards
- Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues related to timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects remain on track
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for senior management and funders, assessing outcomes and recommending improvements
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project managers and staff, fostering collaboration and developing skills in nonprofit project management
- Ensure compliance with regulations and organizational policies, staying informed on industry best practices to ensure projects meet required standards
- Team Member. - Supervisor. This job is responsible for supervising employees and/or non-employees, such as interns or volunteers. This includes and is not limited to making employment decisions; setting and communicating clear goals in alignment with relevant objectives and required outcomes; and effectively managing individual and team performance.
- Senior Leader. In support of creating and maintaining an Employer of Choice culture, active demonstration and encouragement of LCSNW leadership competencies is critical to this job. As a senior leader, this job is more broadly responsible for ensuring the overall success of an entire district, department or function.
- 5 years of related experience
- experience in managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex project on time and within budget. Experience in mergers and acquisitions is beneficial.
- experience managing funded projects, including grant-funded initiatives, with an understanding of compliance, reporting and financial oversight requirements
- Bachelor’s in project management, social services, business administration, public administration or related field; substantial relevant experience will be considered in place of degree
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written
- Advanced mastery of business applications and productivity suites
- Demonstrates resilience, awareness and self-regulation in navigating challenges, conflict and obstacles/barriers.
- Thrives in a diverse and multicultural environment; works with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to enhance end-user experiences throughout the service lifecycle
- Demonstrates exceptional commitment to serving and advocating for diverse and marginalized populations
- Successfully completes tasks in a low noise environment
- Interacts with others and performs tasks in-person and through the use of technology, with long periods of stationary activity and moderate periods of increased physical activity including and not limited to sitting, standing and walking
- Moves equipment/materials weighing up to 25 pounds
- Travels between worksites occasionally
- Works in a variety of settings, including and not limited to LCSNW office locations, partner agency and community-based settings, and faith-based settings such as churches
- Meets LCSNW criminal background clearance requirements and other job-relevant clearances as required by the State or program
