Job Summary

The Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan invites applicants for a part-time LEO Lecturer I position in Marketing, beginning Fall 2025.

Responsibilities*

Candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate Marketing courses. The candidate should be able to teach an introduction to marketing course at least at the undergraduate level. The introduction course provides students with the overview of how to evaluate marketing opportunities in light of a company's capabilities, create segmentation, targeting and positioning strategies, and design 4Ps that appeal to the identified target marker. The candidate will also teach a new product development course at the graduate level. Specific topics covered in this course include creative techniques for idea generation and creative problem solving, designing new products and services using analytical techniques, sales forecasting, testing, and strategies and tactics for new product launch. Finally, the candidate will be asked to advise teams of Master in Business Analytics students to work with corporate clients to help them extract insights from and build predictive models using their own and external observational data.

Required Qualifications*

An MBA/PhD in marketing analytics is required. Candidates should also have strong teaching skills as evidenced by prior classroom performance. Candidates are expected to have advanced skills in statistics and econometrics. They should be able to process and analyze large observational data sets.
