Cloud Computing Infrastructure Architect

The Opportunity:

Everyone is trying to "harness the cloud," but not everyone knows how to secure it. As a cloud security architect, you know how to assess and implement requirements that ensure the safety of information systems and protect them against intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. What if you could use your advanced cloud security skills to improve the overall security posture of a Fortune 500 company?

As a cloud security architect on our team, you'll define, communicate, and implement security architectures, governance, and processes. Based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources, you'll recommend and implement tools and capabilities to address the risk management framework (RMF). Your high-level technical expertise will be vital as you work with commercial clients to ensure standards are met with information assurance and security requirements.

This is an opportunity to apply the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to secure your customer's environment. You'll share your skills in securing all 3 CSPs: Azure, AWS, and GCP while leading tomorrow's cloud security experts. This position will require travel of up to 10% of the time.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in the Cloud Security space

  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud services

  • Experience with cloud security design patterns, identity and access management, serverless architectures, and ization

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM, or Hashicorp Terraform

  • Knowledge of integrated development environments (IDEs) and version control

  • Ability to perform independent research to learn and apply concepts and technologies

  • Ability to create and present information at executive-level meetings

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience in a client facing consultant role

  • Experience with Cloud Assessments or Cybersecurity Frameworks, including NIST, CSA, or CIS

  • Experience with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD, and SDLC

  • Experience with Agile methodology and software development toolsets

  • Experience with a common cloud computing programming language

  • Knowledge of Cloud SDKs and CLI

  • Ability to learn new technologies and drive meaningful conversations around secured solution development

  • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Bachelor's degree

  • GCP Professional level Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
