The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is currently hiring for the position of Maintenance Tech within the department of Morris Inn. The UOES division leads the University’s event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic endeavors, and research initiatives.
Why this position?
This position works within the hotel operations to assist our hotel rooms, public spaces, and equipment stay in working order, playing an instrumental role in creating and delivering exceptional guest experiences at the Morris Inn & McKenna Hall. The Morris Inn boasts 150 rooms and is open year-round along with our academic conference center, both located on Notre Dame Avenue and at the heart of the University of Notre Dame campus . The Maintenance Technician is present in the guest and employee areas to deliver Four Diamond level service, ensuring that all guest expectations are anticipated and exceeded. To be successful in this role, there are a few critical core competencies required: professional communication and appearance, mechanically inclined, active listening, problem solving skills, work with a team or individually, an abundance mindset, a desire to have joy and excellence in everything you do while contributing to a respectful workplace environment. Our people are our most important asset and the development of each team member is critical to our success.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Able to lift 25lbs or more.
- Good mechanical ability.
- Good communication skills.
- Good problem solving. .
Preferred Qualifications
