Summary of Position

Assist in a variety of moderately complex administrative matters including document
preparation, data collection and maintenance, customer service, records keeping, purchasing, billing, and handling a variety of situations and problems according to established policies and
procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum high school graduation.
  • Three years of office experience or three years of specialized training or higher education or any combination of experience and higher education equal to three years.
  • Knowledge of office practices, procedures, and the use of electronic equipment.
  • Keyboarding and computer skills, such as word processing, email, Internet, spreadsheets, database management, and software applications.
  • Effective written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and the general public.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional relevant education beyond high school preferred
  • Experience with UNH business operations and systems
  • Technology and Quality Assurance experience also beneficial

The New Hampshire Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (NHVDL) works at the junction of animal health, public health, environmental health, and economic health. The NHVDL provides accessible, timely, and accurate diagnostic services for the NH Department of Agriculture Markets & Foods (NHDAMF) and to our veterinary clients, farmers, public health, wildlife, and other relevant states, regional, and federal agencies. Located at the University of New Hampshire, the NHVDL also contributes to the education of students seeking training in the biomedical sciences.
