Mississippi Delta Community College
Mississippi Delta Community College (MDCC), located in Moorhead, MS, was founded in 1926 as Sunflower Junior College. MDCC offers a wide variety of academic, career/technical, and health sciences programs to meet the needs of the students in its seven county district. MDCC has a proven academic record and its students consistently rank high among the state’s community college transfers. MDCC is fully accredited by the SACS Commission on Colleges.
The Position
The Board of Trustees of Mississippi Delta Community College announces its search for President at MDCC. The President functions as the chief administrative officer of the College and reports directly to the Board. The President is responsible for the administration and operation of the College as contained in board policies; state and federal laws; and represents the College in national, regional, state, and local matters.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required: Terminal degree in education or the equivalent.
Experience Required:
• Administrative experience in upper level administration.
• Evidence of leadership in strategic planning, policy development, consensusbuilding, faculty-staff relations, community involvement, and technology
development.
Preferred:
• A minimum of 5 years of administrative experience
• Interactive experience with state agencies and the statelegislature
• Record of public distinction as an educational leader in Mississippi
