About the Team:
The PlayStation Trust & Safety Engineering Organization is dedicated to creating the safest and most engaging space for our gamers while proactively protecting the PlayStation brand. Within this organization, the Predictive Safety Team leverages machine learning and other cutting-edge technologies to identify and prevent harmful content and activities.
What You'll Be Doing:

Assist engineers in developing software that safeguards users while enhancing user engagement and platform delight.

Work with new machine learning models and large datasets to prototype solutions for protecting online gaming interactions on the PlayStation Network.

Design, develop, and deliver features within our Safety Platform Services, focusing on safeguarding images, videos, URLs, and text.

Collaborate with the larger organization to learn about the Trust & Safety domain and how PlayStation ensures a safe gaming environment.
What We're Looking For:

Projected to graduate by Spring 2026.

Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Programming, or a related field.

A strong desire to learn and explore new technologies.

Self-starter with the ability to drive tasks independently.

Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Passion for building strong relationships within the team and with stakeholders.

Proficiency or familiarity with one of the following ecosystems: Python, Java, C++, Angular, or Rust.
Eligibility:
-
Able to work during one of the following periods: May 19th - August 8th or June 16th - September 5th.

Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.

Open to students who are U.S. citizens or international students with an F-1 visa.

Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
