Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director of Business Analysis, the Junior Business Analyst is responsible for collaborating and assisting university constituents with projects to identify and document objectives as well as functional, technical, and project requirements.

 

This position works with various University departments and subject matter experts to help identify options for achieving their objectives and provides recommendations on possible solutions.

 

This position may require evening, weekend, and holiday hours.

 

Essential Functions         

  • Assists in providing analysis, design, and recommendations of options and solutions for various project requests.
  • Collaborates with various departments of the University to Identify and document project goals, objectives, desired outcomes, scope, technical and functional requirements.
  • Identifies the appropriate resources/teams from departments, e.g. requesting and impacted departments, subject matter experts, vendors, Project Managers, IT technical resources, etc., to fulfill the project requirements.
  • Provides support to the governance and project teams to understand and clarify project specifications.
  • Communicates progress and status of the various requirements gathering to management and escalates unsettled conflicts, obstacles and risks affecting the progress of the work.

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience         

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of experience in IT support or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills       

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer focus and demonstrated ability to manage client expectations.
  • Excellent collaboration, team-building, and substantial problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of cloud technology.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and issues with both technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to the goals of Jesuit Education.

           

Minimum Starting Salary: $72,000

 

Maximum Starting Salary: $90,000

 

Note: Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
