Overview

POSITION FAMILY DESCRIPTION
Installs, modif ies, moves, troubleshoots, repairs and dismantles machinery and equipment according to
requisition documentation, layout plans, blueprints or other drawings | Prepares installation site by
constructing foundations and aligns and fastens machinery to the foundation using hoists, dollies, rollers,
trucks, tools, squares, rules and micrometers | Performs operational tests on newly installed, modif ied,
repaired and moved machinery and equipment to ensure that it meets technical specif ications | Fabricates
metal parts for prototype equipment based on drawings | Programs PLCs (programmable logic controllers)

Major Position Responsibilities

* Assists with the installation, operation, testing, and adjustment of various types of
conventional or automatic machines used to produce precision parts and instruments.
* Fabricates and modifies parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial
machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout,
and machining procedures.
* Machines parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines,
shapers, or grinders.
* Measures, examines, and tests completed units in order to detect defects and ensure
conformance to specifications.

Basic Qualifications

* Performs manual tasks according to established procedures
* Requires basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process
* Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and
adheres to quality guidelines
* Works with close supervision

Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 2-4 years experience
OR
Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience

Pay Range (USD)
USD Min $36,750.00/Annu. - Max $68,250.00/Annu.

The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the range during the hiring process.
