Interventional Technologist: As a member of the radiology team, interventional technologists assists with diagnostic angiographic procedures, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures. The technologist is responsible for obtaining all equipment needed for a procedure, positioning and imaging patients, resolving equipment issues, and demonstrating knowledge of human anatomy, radiation safety, interventional supplies and equipment operation. Interventional technologists are required to have a combination of technical, radiologic and clinical skill Incumbent performs interventional radiographic and fluoroscopic exams using fixed and portable imaging equipment throughout Interventional Radiology. Contribute to and participates work organization, training and evaluation of staff as a member of self-directed work teams.
Demonstrate and apply knowledge of principles of radiation safety. Demonstrates skills and knowledge via competency exams in all Interventional diagnostic procedures. Must follow interventional filming protocols and policies. Must be able to work flexible hours, which may include evenings, nights, weekends, holidays and call (Vascular/Neuro Vascular) and some overtime if necessary for unexpected staffing issues. Demonstrates knowledge of computers and new technology such as Picture Archival Computer System (PACS). Computerized Radiography (CR) and Digital Radiography (DR). Working knowledge of Radiology Information system (RIS), and Hospital Information System (HIS). Additionally, has training in another modality that the incumbent can provide cross coverage curing normal schedules times or during expected/unexpected staff scheduling issues.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- California Radiology Technologist - Fluoroscopy (CRT-F) License.
- California Radiology Technologist - Radiography (CRT-R) License.
- Registered Technologist for Radiography issued by ARRT (R.T(R)(ARRT)).
- BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
- Experience in diagnostic angiographic procedures, complex vascular, nonvascular and Neuro Vascular interventional and therapeutic procedures.
- Required PACS, Operating Room, Fluoroscopy, diagnostic knowledge.
- Demonstrated computer knowledge.
- At least one (1) year of experience as a Interventional Radiology Technologist.
- CT experience.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, which may include alternate locations, day, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, call is required and some overtime if necessary for unexpected staffing issues.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $120,478 - $149,835 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $57.70 - $71.76
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
