We're looking for exceptional engineers with cross-disciplinary skills to help develop exciting new products and technologies. In this role, you'll be working to push the boundaries of physics, as we improve the quality and efficiency of wireless charging systems. New challenges arise every day that require the sharp problem-solving skills of passionate & smart individuals. You will be required to explore novel system power and charging software algorithms. Your work will span across system architecture, hardware, firmware, kernel drivers, and global system behavior, striving to satisfy both world class system performance and power delivery constraints at the same time.

Description

We are looking for an extraordinary firmware engineer to lead, design and implement wireless charging firmware features in Apple products. You will work with Hardware, Systems and other cross-functional teams and lead the bring-up and development of charging features from pre-silicon to commercialization. The position requires high level thinking to architect code solutions along with low level programming and excellent communications and leadership skills, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment. By working on this technology, you will have the opportunity to have a major impact on the implementation and quality of Apple's next generation products.
  • Excellent programming skills with knowledge of C/C++
  • Strong understanding of operating systems, hardware, and embedded systems.
  • Collaborates well with cross functional engineering teams
  • Excellent communication skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • B.S., M.S. in Electrical & Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Experience with firmware development in embedded systems
  • Passionate about new technology
  • Genuine curiosity about how things work
  • High attention to detail


Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $115,731 and $204,000 annualized, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
